Hello everyone, looking for something unique to do with the kids?
The Dog Salon has something no other Grooming Salon in Charlotte has...5 Self Serve Dog Wash Stations. We provide everything you need to wash your pooch yourself. The kids LOVE it! The Dog Salon is a very fun environment for everyone to experience. Check out our website, and let us know if you have any questions. Have a great day, we hope to meet you all soon!

Single dog mom who is new to Charlotte so always looking to make new friends. If anyone is interested in meeting at the dog park at William Davies let me know. I have been to all of the dog parks and this one is by far the nicest one in Charlotte.

Single dog-mom here! Kenya lived with another dog for about a year and they have moved. We have a nice fenced in back yard. I have been dog sitting to supplement my income and to make friends for Kenya. She is very social. We may check out the Charlotte Active Dogs! Thanks!

There's a Charlotte Meetup group called "Charlotte Active Dogs". The group has events about once a month. These are usually at local dog parks, Greenway walks & lunch at places that allow dogs. I thought you folks might be interested. Here is the link: http://activedogs.meetup.com/169/

I'm not only single but also a bit of a loner. It's just me, Misty (my adopted dog from a shelter) & a few close friends. I have no family in Charlotte. Fortunately, I'm currently doing okay financially so I can afford to board her when the rare occasion requires it (out of town funerals & weddings, etc...). I usually plan my vacations to places where I can take Misty with me: fishing trips to Canada & visiting family in Amish farm country in PA (Misty loves both places due to lots of off leash time outside). But in Charlotte, we live in a townhouse so she has no fenced yard of her own. To make up for that, she does go to a doggy daycare 3 times a week. I'd love to meet other dog lovers who might have a yard to share on occasion. The fact that Misty is an insecure dog makes me feel like I can't just leave her with anybody but rather some one who knows how to "speak dog" to help minimize her fears.

Hi Erin,
No, it's not silly. I know exactly what you mean. And having multiple pets makes it even tougher, financially and even just logistically -- don't have anybody who can run go pick the pups up for you.

The hardest time I've found is when I'm sick. I might need to be in bed, but they still need to be fed and let out -- and of course, petted.

i know it may seem silly at first - but I know in my experience of being a single dog-mom, some things are a little tougher. Theres the financial burden knowing you have to pay for everything yourself, and often we don't have as many friends/family members to turn to for dog sitting...so here's a place where anyone can share good deals on dog related consumer products, social events, or reliable boarding services that you have come across.
